Sounds like a blast! I was among the ones who turned around at the Alum Cave Bluffs because time was not my friend that day but it was such an incredible hike and i would recommend even that short amount to anyone. I've got to get back out there, your experience at LeConte sounds amazing. :)

Absolutely one of my favorite hikes and my go-to when taking my friends out. I'm a thrill seeker i suppose and the scramble at the end is why i keep returning, once you're at the top of the first "chimney," you can, very carefully, continue on to two or three more with a little balance and boldness. :)

We stayed in a Vacation Rental right down the street from this trail, making it an easy walk. The relatively short, scenic hike is worth every step. If you have extra time and don't mind the walk, the neighborhood is beautiful and you can normally drive around until you find street parking and then just walk a mile or so to the trail. Hike on, hikers. :)
