Sony Launches “Alpha Female” Program with $25,000 Grant and Free Gear

Calling all female photographers!

By: The Outbound Collective + Save to a List

Sony Alpha Universe is awarding five female photographers and filmmakers a $25,000 grant, a $5,000 Sony product allowance, an additional $5,000 in Sony product loans, and mentorship with one of Sony’s Artisans of Imagery photographers. The mission for this grant is to empower the winners to execute big projects that will help them advance their careers dramatically.

As part of the “Be Alpha” campaign, the Alpha Female program aims to create more connection and collaboration among women in the field. In addition to the prizes mentioned above, this “Creator-in-Residence” grant will provide extensive education and networking opportunities and the artists' work will be exhibited in New York City and Los Angeles.

Sony is currently taking applications! Click here to apply and get your application in by October 7, 2018 to be considered.
