Take a simple stroll through the beautiful hemlock forest for sweeping views of the Obed Wild and Scenic River and the great valley below. This is an easy, flat hike to a wooden deck on the high outcrop of Lilly Bluff.
Anyone can access this hike by starting from the Lilly Bluff Overlook parking lot. For directions, plug the coordinates 36.10277, -84.72147 into your GPS or try here.
The trailhead begins to the right of the bathrooms. Follow the Overlook Trail 0.3 miles through the forest until you arrive at a split. Promptly continue on the Overlook Trail to arrive at a wooden deck overlooking the gorge below.
According to the National Park Service, the wooden walkway and gravel paths can be navigated by both strollers and wheelchairs.
