Wildlife Drive is by far one of the most unique experiences the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge has to offer. As long as you have a vehicle, you can enjoy everything about this gorgeous place.
This drive begins at he corner of Alligator Alley and Wildlife Drive and lasts about 4.2 miles. The trail is wide enough to fit two vehicles if necessary, but it is a one-way track. There are several places to pull over and observe nature. If you're looking for some interaction with wildlife, this is the place. Alligators, cranes, turtles, birds and so much more are within 5 feet of the path. The views on some of the pull-off areas are absolutely stunning. This adventure is completely customizable based on how much you want to drive and observe. Within the drive there are areas to park and you can catch a hiking trail if you'd like a more "on foot" experience as well. Wildlife Drive is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you don't want to miss.
