I've both snowshoed this and hiked it in the summer. Very enjoyable light day hike!

Insanely beautiful hike, but also insanely strenuous. Definitely make sure to bring plenty of water and food! Trekking poles also saved me a few times on the steep descents. The whole hike is relentless up and down, with some short breaks of flat ground on the tops of the peaks. Some amazing views and fun climbs along the way though!

Not an easy hike! Short with an amazing view, but you will work for it. Also a super popular spot, so the trails and viewpoints can get crowded especially on weekends. Definitely a must!

Hike can be split in half, but the boardwalk to Pinwheel Vista is one of my favorite hikes. The boardwalk is an interesting feature and let's you relax for the steep ascent to the Vista, a stretch of it even goes straight through a cow pasture. The views from the top are more than worth the work! Recommended to everyone looking for a hike in NJ.

Ringwood Manor is one of my favorite places in northern NJ! Tons to see, you can easily spend most of the day touring the manor and exploring the grounds. The cemetary is an interesting feature and the grounds themselves are beautiful. I've been visiting my whole life and I always find something new. Bring a picnic lunch, a few friends, and check it out!

Great hike for beginners! Very peaceful park with waterfalls, ruins, a lake and dam. There's also signage throughout the park with facts about the native flora and fauna. Little work with lots of reward!

Started from Buttermilk Falls and hiked up to Crater Lake and back! About 9 miles round trip. The hike was hard, the terrain is rough in spots and the slope of the hills is steep and unforgiving. Lots of up! Definitely not a hike for beginners, we saw many people turning back along the way. The falls were extremely crowded, but there were less and less people the further you hiked.
