This is a great hike. My GPS recorded 9.3 miles from starting at the firehouse to finishing at the firehouse. The beginning is all up hill, can be tough for some. You have some great views of the Pacific. When you come across the rolling hills and fields you get a wonderfully refreshing breeze to cool you off. The fields are a great place to have a snack and enjoy the view. The trail is great because you get a lil break to use the rest room and refill on water at the ranger station/campground. After that it's all down hill on the steep ravine trail. FYI- on weekends this trail can be very busy.

Love the Dipsea Trail! The beginning sucks with three different sets of stairs.. :) Once your lungs recover from those it's a beautiful hike. The best part is when you finish at Stinson Beach you can grab a delicious lunch and a beer at one of Stinsons many eateries. When you are finished there take the $2 shuttle back to your car.

This is a fairly easy loop hike. I'd on average it will take you four hours to do the whole loop. You'll pass through beautiful streams with mini water falls, vast valleys, huge trees and a beautiful coast line view. This trail basically covers it all. There are some steep parts, but if you are in basic good health you'll be fine. At the end of the hike take the tunnel under the highway to the coast line and check out the gorgeous private beach cove. Unfortunately the beach access is closed off, but the view is still breath taking.
