You can start the trail at a different entrance at Aspen Grove. Just head up the trail, and follow the "Pinball" trail till you reach Crow Creek Trail. Different scenery, overlooks a valley and in the spring/summer there is a beaver damn on the pinball side of Crow Creek. Good write Kaiser!
