A hidden gem of a trail and waterfall in McConnell's Mill. A great addition to your same old hike on the Old Mill Trail.

Park in the lot at McConnell's Mill Rd but instead of going down the steps from the lot, walk up to the intersection of Johnson Rd and McConnell's Mill Rd. Walk toward the house that is a little down the road on McConnell's Mill Rd. You will see a trail head to your left and thats where you want to head down. There are some steps that take you down the hill and you will see a trail that branches off to the right. Take that to the falls.

Make sure you follow the water down to the creek. There is a nice little beach area that does not see a lot of foot traffic.

The trail is fairly rocky but an entertaining hike. Make sure you also stop and hang out in some of the rock "caves" and check out the creek.

The falls are a great addition to the hike along this side of the Slippery Rock Creek. You can start here, then hike down to Eckert Falls, and finish up at Breakneck Falls. A great way to have an awesome three waterfall day hike.

We did the Alpha Pass to Old Mill Trail (.6 miles) and walked back up the road to see the rocks hanging over the road on this trip.
