The Flat Rock Trail in Linn Run State Park gives you a plethora of scenic views with beautiful cottages, historical structures, and of course, the flat rock trail end.
This trail is like a nature lover's playground. From the moment you step on the path you hear the heavy flow of the stream to your left and are surrounded by beautiful hemlocks and rhododendrons. The entrance to the Flat Rock Trail is in the same parking lot as the Adams Falls Trail. After entering the park you will see a parking lot, bridge, picnic tables, and a small playground on your left. The Flat Rock trailhead is directly to the left of the lower parking lot.
With only 0.5 miles of trail and no elevation gain, this is an easy and enjoyable hike. Bring the dog and the kids, plus your swimming trunks. After passing the cottages and the old broken down house on your left, the trail ends with the ultimate nature spot. The Flat Rock Trail features a section of the stream that opens up into a wide range of flat rocks that you can walk on. I promise this will be the highlight of your adventure.
