Description

Added by Evan Fisher

The hike out to The World's Edge provides views unlike any other. The World's Edge is perfect for a short day hike and offers a great deal of off-trail exploration within Chimney Rock State Park.

Park at the end of The World's Edge Road, but be aware that parking is very limited. There is a private residence up to the right so do not block their driveway/gate. Begin your hike by going through the leftmost gate, and continue straight until you reach the first view less than half a mile in. Side trails extend in several different directions from the first overlook, so explore at your own discretion. There is a small trail about 60 feet to the east (left if looking at overlook) that leads to a very photogenic spot. Trail length can vary from just 1200 meters to several miles, depending on how adventurous you want to be.
