For spectacular 225 degree views of the Catskill Mountains and a hike along a section of the famous Devil's Path, Twin is a great hike all year round!
The DEC Parking lot, is located at the very end of a dead end, along Prediger Rd. Start at the trail head to the right of the trail kiosk and sign in sheet. The trail starts out very easy going as you approach the base of Twin. At mile 0.25, you’ll hit a junction where you’ll turn RIGHT towards Twin (clearly marked). From here the trail begins getting steeper where you’ll find a few scramble points requiring you to use your hands to help climb. At mile 1.9 you’ll run into another junction where you’ll turn RIGHT again. You’ll now be on the famous Devil’s Path until you reach the summit. From here there’ll be more scrambling and climbing until a plateau near the top where you eventually run into the best lookout on the hike, a 225 degree view on a rocky outcrop. From here you can turn around and head back in the direction you came down back to the parking lot.
