I spent my summer in Iceland this past year and this place was by far the highlight of my trip! There is something cool to see everywhere you look and the fact you are standing between two continents blew my mind. If you are in Iceland, this is a must see!

Angels Rest has an amazing view of the Gorge. To me, it's a more family friendly version of Munra Point with a steady uphill on your way. At the top of the mountain there are many good views but watch your step and be careful as people have died here on the steep cliffs on either side of the summit.

Munra Point has the best view of the Gorge I have ever seen, but the hike was absolutely brutal and it is quite easy to find yourself getting lost if you do not remember your way back down. The trail is poorly marked and your legs will be on fire when you get to the top and you will be very sweaty, but bring a camera because the views are amazing! Recommend going in the Spring or Summer.

The hike takes you across a river canyon over a high bridge. Bring your camera! Many things to see along the trail. Make sure to buy a parking pass before you go because you will be forced to pay anyways if you do not (the fine for us was $5)
