Hike the Island Trail

This half mile hike takes you around the island at Haha Tonka.

The Island Trail starts at the Old Mill Site on the Spring Trail. The trail will lead you up some steps. At the top of these go left to see the Balanced Rock. This is an amazing natural wonder. Continuing down this trail you will see where the Haha Tonka Spring intersects with the lake. The water flows over some large boulders here. If you continue on the loop you will reach a cave. The cave is gated but you can get access to it if you contact the park office before your hike. I would recommend doing this.

There are some pretty large drops and some pretty technical spots on the trail so make sure to be careful and pay attention the entire time.
