This is a paddle for anyone, beginner to expert. You can put in right below town and paddle as far as you want.

Paddling out of Drake Harbor is nice. You can turn right and paddle up to the city park and the dam. It's not to bad of a paddle but if the dam is releasing water it could be a hard one. Check before you leave and keep it in mind. Your other option is turn left out of Drake and paddle down the lake, the water will be pushing you on your way out but not back. There is a place to jump off cliffs on the right as you head down the lake but make sure you check the water first. Either way it's a good paddle for anyone looking to get in the water. If you visit the first weekend in June don't be surprised to see a carnival.  Jubilee Days is an annual event and a lot of fun. You can also walk up to town and get food before or after paddling from the harbor. It's a good setup for a fun time.
