A fun day hike along Beaverdam Creek with sandy beaches and clear water to look forward to.

This is the most maintained trail I have ever been on. The trail is very easy to see and is marked with frequent white blazes. You can hike or trail run along Beaverdam Creek as it snakes its way towards Black Creek. There are plenty of fallen trees hanging over the creek that are strong enough to climb for a photo op. The water was too cold to swim when I went in early February but is probably very nice during the hotter months. After hiking along the trail for roughly 3 miles, Beaverdam Creek flows into Black Creek, and that is the stopping point. Just find a spot to rest on the sandy beach along the creek. The trail does continue on from there, but I didn't hike much further down it.

The only good spot to park your vehicle is on the grass immediately after the bridge. Then just watch for cars and cross the street to the East side of the bridge. There you should see the Black Creek Trailhead sign. Its a pretty remote trail. I only saw one other group the whole day, and they were out there camping along the side of the trail.

Please take all trash out with you, be sure to take plenty of pictures, and have a great day out in nature!

Hike Beaverdam Creek Reviews

This trail isn't the most scenic or exciting, but if you want to just "get away from it all" and go for a hike, you should definitely check this one out.
