Come explore the "Grand Canyon of Mississippi." Hike through the canyon and climb along its walls before making your way down an unnamed water runoff trail to Pearl River.
Red Bluff is a beautiful canyon created by erosion. The canyon grows and changes every couple of weeks due to rain. You can either hike or downclimb to the canyon floor. Once you have had your fill of the canyon, you can follow the water runoff trail on the North East side of Red Bluff to Pearl River. Once you begin to follow the trail, the red and orange canyon turns to lush green forest and frequent mini-waterfalls. After about half a mile, the trail leads to some train tracks. On the other side of the tracks, the trail continues for maybe another 100 yards to Pearl River. I like to camp right off of the trail next to the river.
There are road closed signs on either side of the canyon. What everyone does is pick a side to park at and pull over on the side of the road next to the barricades. Once at the canyon, you will see plenty of people hiking at the bottom, climbing along its sides, or taking pictures from the top. If you decide to climb in the canyon, be prepared to be covered in orange clay, but don't worry, it washes out of clothes and shoes.
Be sure to take plenty of pictures, and have a great day out in nature!

Hike Red Bluff Canyon Reviews
I love coming here in the Fall when its not too hot. I climb and explore in the canyon, and then I usually follow the short trail to the river to cool off and camp for the night.
