Have You Found Your Coordinates Yet?

There is that one spot that seems to keep you coming back over and over again. It pulls on your heart more than others, you find yourself daydreaming about it, and you count down the days, hours, minutes until you can go back.

Have you ever been asked the question of, where is your favorite place to be in the world? If not, consider yourself asked. Are you able to answer it right away or did you have to think about it for a little bit? If you're able to answer right away (or give your top 3) then you've found your coordinates. It's that special spot that makes your heart and mind feel most at ease. No matter what you have going on in your life when you are in that spot everything is ok, your mind is clear, and you're happy.

As an explorer I've traveled to some incredible places, seen vistas that are so beautiful you would think they are fake, but yet when I need to escape from it all, my mind and heart drift to that one special spot. My coordinates. My mind flashes mental images of past visits, my heartbeat picks up, and I can't help but have a big smile on my face. No matter how many times I've been there I always get the same feeling of true excitement.

Are you starting to think about your spot yet?

What is it about this spot that makes it so special to you? Was there a milestone in your life that occurred there, a certain unexplainable joy that just came over you, or maybe a healing or realization moment that altered your life?

Being outdoors has been proven to make you a more creative individual, to help heal, and to open people's eyes to what really matters in life. While this spot can be anywhere, I'd bet that if a survey was done more than 85% of peoples coordinates would be outside.

Coordinates to us outdoor enthusiasts symbolize a beginning or ending location. Reaching those coordinates is a goal or starting point to a goal. This concept of finding your coordinates is that of finding uninterrupted happiness and then sharing that happiness with others. I've brought a lot of friends to my coordinates. While most were surprised it was not on the summit of a mountain with a magnificent view, or a trail winding through some lush forest, they said to me later on that I was almost a different person while in that spot. Like I was completely content and free. And your coordinates are exactly that, they are a spot that thrusts you into living in the moment, taking away every distraction or negative vibe around you.

So, get out there and find the coordinates that speak most to you in the world. For anyone who is interested in where my coordinates are... 44 17' 03.9" N 73 58' 54.9" W
