Swim in Cenote Escondido
Added by Neonconflagrations
Cenote Escondido is a beautiful surface level cenote swimming area with minimal development located 4km south of central Tulum.
The swimming area is nestled between limestone cliffs and lush jungle, with clear turquoise waters. A small changing room and a few tables and deck are about the only developments around this beautiful swimming hole. The cenote is a popular diving spot, having access into the limestone cave system beneath the surface.
There is a rope swing and ledges where swimmers can jump into the water below. This would also be a great place to bring a snorkel mask to swim the calm waters and look at the stone formations below.
There are no lifeguards, nor equipment rentals here.
Cenote Escondido is open daily from 8am-5pm. Admission is MX$80 per person or MX$60 for children up to 11 years old. Visitors must first stop across the highway at Cenote Cristal to purchase their admission. Visitors can pay MX$120 for admission to Cenote Escondido and Cenote Cristal. There is a separate fee for divers.
