Explore this gorgeous Malibu beach for sunrise and get beautiful light for photoshoots or landscapes. Exploring the sea caves is just as fun and the water is the perfect temperature for swimming.

Located just outside of Malibu center this beach is right off of highway 1. Type in El Matador State Beach into your GPS and you should be able to find it with ease.

Parking before sunrise will require you to park your vehicle a short walk down the road where there are no more signs saying you cannot park on the road. Unfortunately the parking area itself is not open for sunrise so you will have to walk about 5 minutes.

make your way down to the beach and set up for your shots without the interruption of tons of people.

This is a truly beautiful beach and should be on everyones bucket list for sunrise.
