Description

Added by The Outbound Collective

The Potato Harbor Trail is a 4 mile hike on Santa Cruz Island, the biggest island in Channel Islands National Park. Views of the turquoise waters are complemented by chances to spot endangered wildlife and marine species.

The Potato Harbor Trail is easy to follow, and generally stays on the cliff edge. This trail is open for use year-round. In the spring, wild flowers are abundant. Potato Harbor can be shrouded in fog in the mornings and evenings. The cliffs above Potato Harbor are a great location for a snack or picnic lunch. Keep your eyes peeled for the endangered island fox. Wear layers to combat chilly ocean breezes!
