Description

Added by Josiah Roe

Wonderful views of Ventura, the Pacific Ocean, and the Channel Island and depending on the time of the year incredible wildflowers.

Arroyo Verde Park is a small parked tucked in the hills above Ventura, California, and has a network of trails running up and down the hills surrounding the valley in the center of the park.

The entrance to the park is at the intersection of Foothill Road Day Road, east of downtown Ventura. There is parking inside the park but also just outside of the park on Foothill Road with a clearly marked sign to the main park trail.

The longest official loop begins near the park entrance moving counter clockwise up and down the hills surrounding the main valley and is roughly 3.5 miles long, though there are several unofficial spurs and loops that can be taken for longer trips.

The trail is perfect for hiking and trail running, though mountain biking is not permitted.
