Unforgettable Waterfall Farmhouse
Hilo, Hawaii
When you get here, the first thing you'll want to do is take a walk. There's something about a waterfall that beckons all of us, and when you have one in your backyard, a glance simply isn't enough.
The gentle, soothing sound of the tumbling water invites you to step into the private swimming pool at the waterfall's feet. Forgot a towel? No problem. Your two-bedroom Ohana apartment is just a few steps away, or you could lie down in the soft grass and let the sun do its work. You'll probably spot a few colorful native birds, like the regal and rare Hawaiian hawk.
In our private riverfront nature reserve, you're getting the best of several worlds. First, you've got incredible, expansive views of the Hamakua coastline. Wake up early to watch the sunrise as you sip your coffee or some pineapple juice and look forward to the day. Next, you're settled in the middle of our lush farmland. Walk along the river, pet and feed the animals, and let yourself play. Kids are welcome here—and they always provide the best example of how to run, explore, and have fun. As a small working farm, we welcome you to take part in the experience.
Finally, you're only minutes away from downtown Hilo, so it's quick and easy to return to your private retreat after a day of adventuring in the city and around the island. Back at home, the spacious open kitchen and living area of the Ohana apartment—which takes up the entire lower level of our farmhouse—invites you to relax. It's well-equipped for your comfort and convenience, including a washer and dryer.
We aim to protect the natural world that gives us so much. We use only non-toxic weed and pest control and cleaning products; you'll find solar panels, energy-efficient appliances, and 100% natural fiber bedding on our little piece of paradise. Our agriculture practices are responsible and mindful, and we'll ask you to join us in dividing your trash to recycle and compost as much as possible.
As night falls, take a deep breath, filling your lungs with mountain air as you watch the stars pop out. This is your home for as long as you choose to stay.
