The Marjorie Rawlings cottage as it is known is over 100 years old. A small comfortable weekend retreat for the couple looking for old Florida comforts with a romantic history, shaded by oaks with a view of the horse pastures.

The Cottage is one of the oldest in the Fort McCoy area dating back to before the turn of the century in the 1900s. This cottage was once the doctor's office in the small town where Marjorie K. Rawlings used to visit and create many of her new tales and award-winning stories. You can sometimes sit on the porch and feel her presence.

At the Griffin Ranch, you will be able to enjoy the ranch at its best. Assist with some of the daily routine work or just walk the property and feel what God has to offer, kayaking and horseback riding are also available. There is no kitchen in this cottage only a microwave, coffee pot, small refrigerator, and toaster.
