Escape to fresh mountain air and vast vistas at Murphys' finest Bed and Breakfast. Set on a tranquil 5-acre hilltop and built with our guests’ comfort in mind, each bedroom has a private bath and amazing views. In the rolling foothills filled with pine trees, you can sit back and recharge.

Courtwood Inn is adorned with decorations inspired by the major tennis championships around the world. Chris and Larry Parker, award-winning USPTA tennis professionals, chose the name Courtwood to connect their love of tennis and their beautiful log home. Play a couple sets on our two tennis courts, take a lesson from a USPTA certified pro who played at Wimbledon and the US Open, enjoy a game of ping pong, have a massage, or take a wine-tasting tour. Enjoy a delicious breakfast that includes seasonal fresh fruit from our garden before the adventures of your day. Murphys is a charming Gold Rush town with cute shops and 25+ wine tasting rooms. Seventeen miles east is Calaveras Big Trees State Park, home of the giant Sequoias. Numerous hiking trails and lakes are also nearby. In the late afternoon, join us for our ‘Wine & Cheese’ reception, featuring local wineries, before dining at one of the many fine restaurants in town.
