Camp Gore on the Hudson
North Creek, New York
30 minutes from Lake George, just off the Whitewater Hudson River
We offer a beautifully secluded campsite in the center of southern Adirondack activity. The campsite is only 200 yards off a state highway. The railroad crossing on the highway makes it impossible to miss. Once you arrive, you will hear the sounds of the babbling brook next to your campsite. You will be able to hide your car 50 yards away and you will be alone in the Adirondack Forest. The North Creek area offers a multitude of things to do. Let's start with the fact that the best whitewater rafting in the east is only a few miles away. A one-day trip through the Hudson Gorge is offered by a dozen outfitters. The chairlift at Gore Mountain, the four-wheel bicycle that travels on the railroad up to a trestle over the Hudson River, wine bars, food stores, great hardware, Adirondack Trading Company Gift Store, the Scenic Railroad, Community Center concerts, a German bar, other local bars, hiking up mountains, and hiking to the highest waterfalls in the Adirondacks are all within reach of the campsite. Your host will offer unlimited things to do.
