Description

Added by Brodie Fisher

Many northern California natives will vouch that Burney Falls is a fantastic place to visit. The falls are massive and no matter how many times you visit you will always be in awe.

The campsite in Burney Falls Memorial State Park is less than half a mile from the waterfall. While I wasn't able to hear the roar of the falls from my tent, I was able to wake up before dawn and walk a mere 3-4 minutes to view the falls from the top of the trail. The trail is paved the entire way (I know, i know... kinda touristy) and is a .2 mile walk to the base of the falls. Once you reach the falls you will instantly be blasted with mist from the 100 million gallons of water that flows everyday. Their is a loop trail that you can enjoy. Not to mention, the PCT intersects with Burney falls.
