This is one of the best hikes I have completed. My wife and I hiked Ted Stiles Preserve in Baldpate Mountain with a group. The hike was organised by the Friends of Hopewell Vally Open Space.

What's the liquid being poured from the containers?

This is the bit that I find confusing: "If you're on Kingwood Stockton Road, there will be a dirt road with a Lockatong Nature Preserve sign before it" Kingwood Stockton Road is a VERY long road and I am not sure where on this road to find the preserve sign. GPS coordinates?

I've hiked the Eastern Mountain Road side of the Sourland Mountains many times. It's always and adventure. I find something new every time. NOTE: There are several trails with two trail heads. On starts on Eastern Mountain Road (Hillsborough) and runs up and around Devil's Half-Acre Boulder across to Roaring Rock Boulders and then down back to the trailhead. The other trail is as described here.

If only we had time for an evening viewing.

GPS coordinates would help pinpoint the entrance. Google maps location was off by half a mile.

I met many hikers along looking for Donut Falls and none of use knew how to get there. In late March, the trail is covered with ice and snow. Slow going even with hiking boots. We turned around after 20 minute once the trail got too slipper to navigate. GPS coordinates of the location of the falls would help. In fact GPS data should be mandatory for all of these hikes.

All ice and snow in late March.

Disappointed. Closed to hiking because lake was under ice and snow.

The map pin and the start of the trail don't match up when I open in google maps.

A friend who knows I love the outdoors and photography suggested I visit Kugler Woods Waterfall. The waterfall is tiny but I got some great long exposure shots on my iPhone 6 (try the Pro Cam app) and Nikon DSLR. It was too cold on the early (7AM) morning when I visited. Best light is most likely the blue hour at the end of the day. The waterfall faces west.

I've been here twice. Once with a group of photographers and another time my family and I packed a picnic baskets, skipped accrues to one one the rocks in the river and had a great time chilling and enjoying a meal.

On a weekend many yachts and sailboat are up and down the river. I prefer doing long exposure photography which will help blur out those objects.

The Highline has excellent views of the river and the city life below. The observations decks are a great spot to rest your feet while watching the taxis and pedestrians walk around below. In the evening you can sit in the restaurant and enjoy the sunset.
