I made this trek with a friend and was surprised at the difficulty. We left the morning after 16” of snow and were forgone our own path the whole way. The views at the top are worth the effort and the way up is well shaded and not at all exposed. Once you reach the ridge the winds can be quite cold and strong, so pack wind gear. We stashed our show shoes for the final ascent as we were walking mostly on hard ice and rock. My dog made her way to the top out of sheer will power as 16” of fresh power gave her quite the hard time. There’s no water, so bring enough for your dog and you. Starting in the morning, you’ll reach the top around lunch and there are places to sit and eat out of the wind. The way down is quick and easy, and you have the option of Givling down the ski runs. OverLl, awesome hike!
