Manara Cliff

The lower parking lot is at the very entrance to Kiryat Shmona, immediately before the BIG shopping complex. There is also a hotel at the top of the cliff, for those who are interested. The Manara Cliff is on the west side of the Hula Valley, with an elevation of 1940 meters. You can either hike up (there are a few trails) or use the lift. Many people find it more fun to hike up, and then take the lift back down. If you go for an early morning hike, the sun will rise exactly across from you on the opposite Golan Heights; it is a beautiful sight. This is a beautiful cliff that overlooks the entire valley, and whether it is sunny or cloudy, the view is breathtaking. It is cooler in the afternoon, when the mountains behind throw shade on the cliff.

There is also an outdoor sport company there that offers sports outdoor activities such as snapling, rock climbing, archery, monorail, and more at the edge of the cliff (for a price). Pictured here is the snapling and climbing; the activities range from beginner to extreme.
