I recently moved to Denver from southwest Colorado and I am enjoying exploring the city's foothills as well as the Front Range. I'm going back to school, so quick overnights and day hikes fit into my busy schedule. I'm happiest when I'm exploring outside!
Did this with a few friends last summer. It was a straightforward trip, great for beginners! Very beautiful at the upper lakes, lots of good fishing. Only con was that on a summer weekend it was very busy with day hikers.

Took my coffee, snacks, and study notes to get some peace and quiet for the afternoon. Saw a few other people out walking as well. Beautiful and quiet spot.
