We had no indication that we wouldn’t be able to see anything, the skies were clear on the way up from gatlinburg. The drive up the road is amazing in itself, even if from the top there is little visibility. Crowded, but there is a restroom and store.

My husband and I did the trail in about 1.5 hours to get out and back, didn’t really know the extent of the stairs, but it was definitely worth it! The views are spectacular just note- if you have bad knees or feet, maybe another trail will be better 😬 not many flat parts to the 3.5ish miles. Either straight up or down

My husband and I had a great time- got started around 10 am and finished up around noon. We stopped a lot, mostly because how unbelievably inconsiderate cars are. Note, you will be sharing the road with vehicles and many want to ride up on you only for you to be right behind another car. This does make for some unexpected stops to let dummies pass you. The views are incredible, just note the bike rental from the campground store only has a water bottle holder, so bring a backpack to shed your layers in the fall! 😊

Short little hike with great views! Watch for snakes though, as usual. 😬

Well kept secret! So pretty in the fall. Recommend the bluff overlook trail as well. The drive out from Nashville was so fun!

My husband and I made the hike today and had a great time! We crossed the river A LOT more than just once, but he was avoiding getting his shoes wet and I was enjoying my chacos. Definitely take a walking stick for crossing. We had great 78 degree weather, but water was very cold!

Great hike with beautiful lake views! Nice parking and trailhead as well. Definitely a good pick for a brisk hike

Didn't follow the trail/ridge route. Went to the left at the fork where it says trails from the ball field and after about 5 min got to a sign that said left to overlook. Easy to get to but definitely room for some more advanced hiking

A little crowded at times, but an amazing view!
