Stay the Night in an Off-Grid Cabin in Fairplay, CO
Details
Added by Korey Taylor
Get off the grid in this rustic cabin in the forest near Fairplay. Get back to the basics with a wood burning stove, chopping your own wood, bringing your own water, and cooking on a propane stove.
This will be an amazing experience for anyone that books this cabin, guaranteed. It's the perfect size with a kitchen, living room, bunk beds, and back porch. In addition to the main house there is a tree house that has a couch and a bed in it as well; so the property can host a decent sized group. It's very primitive living so it would be best to have some off-the-grid knowledge, like chopping wood, using propane lights, and melting snow for water. In winter it can be tough to warm the place up, and while it might feel like cheating, I suggest bringing either a fire starter or a "Duraflame" type log. The stove is quite small and requires adding logs to it several times throughout the night to keep it warm. In the summer the cabin offers hammocks, slacklines, and ziplines.
