Take in this stunning 60m cascading waterfall in the middle of nowhere.
Kinuseo Falls is located in Monkman Provincial Park just south of Tumbler Ridge in Northern British Columbia. This waterfall is the largest one in the park. Believe it or not, Kinuseo Falls is also taller than Niagara falls in Ontario by about 9 metres.
Kinuseo Falls, on the Murray River, is situated 65 kilometres by road south of Tumbler Ridge. To reach the falls follow the Heritage Highway (Boundary Road) for 14 km in a south-easterly direction from Tumbler Ridge, then turn right. The paved surface ends after three km, and it is gravel all the way to the falls for another 48 km, with directional signage at intersections. There is a large parking area with picnic tables before the falls.
Once at the parking lot for Kinuseo Falls there are a couple of viewpoints to check out. The first one is a handicap accessible trail to a viewing platform at the lip of the waterfall. Another view point is a steep goat trail down to the base of the falls that isn't easy and isn't recommended to use by BC Parks. The third close viewpoint is up a trail to an upper viewpoint of the falls, from there you can see the waterfall in full view as well as looking down stream of the Murray River.
Be aware that you are in Grizzly and Black Bear country. Make sure to carry bear spray with you at all times.
For more details on Kinuseo Falls and the area check out this brochure from BC Parks.

Very easy trail to get to. Well maintained. If you're feeling adventurous there is a trail to the side that you can go down, fairly steep, but it takes you right to the bottom of the falls.
