Capture a stunning sunrise at Pyramid Lake in Jasper National Park. You'll see the beautiful reflection of Pyramid Mountain in the water. Be sure to arrive early to capture the first light of the day
A visit to Jasper National Park is not complete without a stop at Pyramid Lake to witness the spectacular sunrise.
From the Town of Jasper, take the Pyramid Lake Road all the way until you reach the end of the road, where you'll find the parking lot and the trailhead. The gravel trail is 1.2 kilometers to the Pyramid Lake outlet, where you will reach a small bridge. From here, head down towards the lake, set up your shot and wait for the sunrise to leave you speechless!
After you are finished taking photos, you can continue on the trail to the Pallisades Lookout if interested, or head on back to Jasper.

Explore Pyramid Lake Reviews
We toured to Pyramid Lake our first day in Jasper and it was the perfect way to explore while we tried to cure our jet lag. The hike in was simple and every turn brought new beautiful views. We were there around dusk and watching the light change quickly as the sun dropped below the mountains was a true highlight.

My friends and I went here in January of 2016 and it was pretty neat!
