Description

Added by Christin Healey

Two Jack is a pristine lake with Canadian Rockies as the backdrop. This is a great spot for picnics and swimming. There's also easy access to put in your kayak, canoe or SUP. Two Jacks is located close to the town of Banff.

Of all the lakes in the Banff area, this was one of my favorites to get out on the water. Don't expect the bright blue glacial waters of some of the other lakes in the Canadian Rockies, but the water is pristine and it was one of the few places I went where it felt like it was all locals hanging out.

If you are coming from the town of Banff, take the Lake Minnewanka Scenic Drive until you reach the Two Jack Lake Picnic Area (just past the two camping areas). There you will find walking trails around the lake, picnic tables, and a perfect spot to put in your canoe, kayak or SUP. There are no rentals available here (another reason for the lack of tourists!) so be sure to bring your own. It's also a great spot to just spend a lazy "off" day in the area, and if you are brave -- a swim!

Kayak Two Jack Lake Reviews

So may long we went out and it was raining but we put on our rain jackets and at 7am we were the only one on the lake. So much fun

Super stoked to see a new take on a Banff classic! Good directions, great photos. Keep it up.
