Description

Added by Emily Masse

Bown Lookout is a short and sweet hike at only 4km making it accessible for most. There are great views of the Straight of Georgia and neighboring mountains

The trailhead is located just off the Cypress Mountain lodge. It winds past old growth forest, and the Yew Lake Meadows.

After passing these features the trail turns into a series of switchbacks, gaining the elevation in the last 850m of trail.

Before you know it you are rewarded with a beautiful view!

Bowen Lookout Reviews

There’s a lot of variety on this trail. There are some very slippery sections, its muddy. Definitely recommend a right shoes. A spikes or pole help specially at the portion where you go thru that steep snow, expect some traffic there. Some hikers just turned around. Bugs are very annoying. Over all, awesome view well worth it.
