Enjoy a quick sunset hike in Kamloops

1.2 Miles Total - Out-and-Back Trail

Originally added by Corry Hall

This quick hike takes you up to a scenic viewpoint looking west over Kamloops Lake. Taking in a sunrise from this location is the perfect way to end your day.

Getting there: Drive along Hillside Drive, past the Kamloops Correctional Centre and very shortly after you will see a pullout to the right with an old double track road leading up the hill.

The Hike: Walk up this hill on the obvious trail. Once you arrive to the top of the hill stay to the left following the signage for Sunset trail. It takes 20-30 minutes to get from the parking area to the top. This hike is almost always very secluded and there is a fantastic picnic area/viewing platform where you can hang a hammock on or enjoy a picnic from while you watch the sunset.
