Hike, snowshoe, up to you. This short but challenging hike leaves everyone speechless. No wonder it's a Vancouver staple.

Head out to the Cypress Mountain Nordic Area parking lot. Head about 50 feet North from the Nordic entrance and you will find the trailhead. This winding climb leads you up and down the Hollyburn Trail, eventually out to the top of the mountain. It leaves you with stunning views the whole way up. There are ample of places to stop, and take it all in. You will see the Vancouver skyline, Howe Sound, and even Mt Baker to the South. To the East you get stunning views of Crown Mountain and Grouse Mountain. To the West/North you find yourself looking out on Vancouver Island, Mt. Lions, the Sunshine Coast.

With 360 degree views this hike makes for a perfect way to photograph the landscapes surrounding Vancouver.

For extra beauty (I am biased towards snow), head up and snowshoe in the winter. You can skip the crowds by going early or mid week.

Enjoy the hike, and as always please pack out your trash.
