Dog Sled in Whitehorse

Ibex Valley, Yukon Territory

Description

Added by Lauren Foltz

Sledding fun for the family! A once-in-a-lifetime bucket list-worthy experience in the Yukon.

There are a few companies offering dog sledding services in the Yukon, but I went through Muktuk Adventures in Whitehorse. Fun for all ages, but a bit expensive and on par with competitors. (Prices vary, so call them)

Address: Km 1442.5 Alaska Hwy, Whitehorse, YT Y1A 7A2
100+ acre ranch offers a place to hang out, stay, and dog sled. Various sledding options, from a half-day trip to full-day visit or embarking on expeditions.

We did a loop on their property for 2 hours, fully guided, with a group of 4 sleds. The staff guides you throughout the entire trail, teaching you how to turn and manage your speed. Lots of forest and a couple of nice big hills!

If you didn't bring proper clothing, they provide warm jumpers, gloves, hats, and blankets. Don't forget to use their restrooms before going on your sledding trip!
