Quiet park by National Wildlife Refuge

This tranquil 20.6 acre park is open year round from 8am to sunset. It’s the gateway to the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge. It is filled with boardwalks, trails, and all kinds of wildlife. I went here with the sole intent of catching a pretty sunset after a long week.  I got to do just that and enjoyed a leisurely stroll through this park.

If you're looking for a hike, the loop of the park is 9 miles with scenic views of the bay.

Parking was free and easy.  There were not many people when I went. I did drive through a few areas on the way there that seemed a little sketchy (boarded up buildings), so just watch your surroundings.

Catch a Sunset at Alviso Marina County Park Reviews

Can smell. Would recommend going to Shoreline instead if you want water views and to paddle. It can be beautiful for sunset, but the smell ruins it

I've never seen this place crowded. Not sure if it's cause I've only been there on weekdays, but it seems like a nice place to jog in nature without crowds. Dunno about the smell though
