Trail run in Aliso and Wood Canyons

Aliso Viejo, California

Description

Added by Kelly Dickinson

A close quick escape from neighborhood life. Lots of trails great for running, biking or strolling!

Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park is so close to surrounding neighborhoods but it's the perfect escape. Down in the canyon you feel like you're far removed. It's tranquil and quiet and a easy way to get your nature fill! Lots different trails provide views of the canyon, lush meadows, picnic spots, caves and even great ocean look outs. Great signage to point you in the right direction and give you some history on the area, as well as describe plant and animal life in the canyon.

There are a couple ways into the canyon, but the easiest is off Alicia Parkway. Turn into Awma Rd and find street parking next to the church. Currently the paid parking lot for the park is under construction.
