Soak up a sunset at Siletz Bay

One of the best spots on the Oregon Coast to watch a sunset

By: Austin Johnson + Save to a List

During the day, the Siletz Bay area offers many attractions. They range from restaurants such as Mo's and Eleanor's Undertow Takeout to Flanigans Glass Gallery. This is the "quiet" district in Lincoln city. Despite this, parking is still a hassle so be prepared to potentially walk a little to the beach.

As you walk toward the beach you will see a pier to the left next to Mo's this area is a wonderful place to relax and watch the sunset if you want to avoid getting sandy. However, you will miss enjoying the full beauty the bay has to offer. Anywhere along the beach is a great spot to watch the sunset.

There are a variety of activities that you can do while waiting for the sun to set. The beach stretches for several miles allowing for some exploration. Other activities you can do range from Surfing to having a bonfire on the beach. Make sure to check on and follow all rules before doing this.

Whether it is winter, or summer the Siletz Bay has many offerings for both the family and the solo adventurer. Just make sure to pack out what you bring in here.
