This is a great day hike with the view of an overnight hike!

RoundTop Mountain is a beautiful trail that is located just south of Jasper Arkansas on Highway 7. The trail-head is located on the west side of the highway, and the is a brown sign that will lead you to the trail head. There are many trails that come off a single loop trail. The South trail has a particularly good view, but none of the detour trails are very long, and they all have magnificent views. The traffic at RoundTop is much lighter than others in this area such as Sam's Throne and Hawksbill Crage.If you are in to camping in cool areas, this is the spot. Hammocking is good here. If you are looking for a comfortable place to camp, this is not the spot. There is no campsite, and really not a good spot for setting up a tent. However, if you like hammocks and enjoy waking up to a good view, this is the spot. I personally hammocked at the south view. It was awesome.This trail is mostly used for day hiking. Day hiking on RoundTop Mountain is without a question, a must. The view alone is worth it!
