Looking for something a little more intense than tubing? Why not try out rafting the Salt River rapids?

There are a ton of companies offering half, full and multi day tours.  I did a half day tour and it was a wonderful way to spend a spring morning in Arizona.

We saw bald eagles, and our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the area.  Just enough rapids to get exciting, there are also long stretches of level floating, where you can relax back and enjoy the sunshine.

Make sure to bring lots of sunscreen – the tour company should bring water and snacks.
