Gorgeous Place!

Such a beautiful, open cave with a picturesque waterfall! A very easy and short hike met with a unique and wonderful view. Fall is an especially beautiful time to visit this park.

Favorite in Hocking Hills

I love exploring this cave whenever I am in the Hocking Hills area! During peak season it can be a bit crowded, but worth it! It also can be a bit slippery in the cave so be sure to bring good shoes!

So Unique!

This is by far my favorite Frank Lloyd Wright house. The way it's built among the trees over a waterfall is an amazing feat of architecture and engineering. The theme of the house is very much bringing the outside in, so there are tons of windows and views out to the falls and forest.

Awesome Challenge and Views

I loved visiting this park and completing this challenge while in Indiana for an internship. The dunes are fairly high and are a tough, sandy climb - be sure to hydrate well and be prepared for a workout! The views from the top are worth the effort. It would be a good hike on its own, but the challenge makes it even more fun! When I completed it, the visitor center even awarded me with a free sticker to display the accomplishment!

Beautiful, Peaceful Views

I loved the rocky beaches along this path! It felt safe to walk it alone and I love how it's high off the ground level so you can look down and out towards the ocean. I visited for a work trip in March and it was chilly but bearable, and since it was the off season, parking was free!

Fun Adventure for All Ages!

I love exploring these caves! Beautiful, classic formations. Can get tight and dark in places, could feel scary for young children, but the tour guides do an awesome job of making it fun for kids! The grounds themselves are beautiful; I even ran a cross country course here that was tough but so pretty! The gift shop is awesome too. Perfect and unique family adventure!

Incredible and Unique

I loved this park when I went to Colorado the first time! The rock formations are so amazing and unique, and it's fun to see the ones with recognizable shapes, like the Kissing Camels.

Part of a Complete Yellowstone Experience!

I really enjoyed hiking around these hot springs! It was hard to look at them and not feel like they were big blocks of ice. All springs in the area were worth taking the time to see. The entrance to the Springs area has a nice area for a picnic lunch that my family took advantage of! We were even visited by an elk and her baby! You've got to always be ready for wildlife all over Yellowstone.

Favorite Spot in Yellowstone!

This is the favorite and most memorable feature to me in the whole park! It honestly feels like being on another planet - the colors and he smoke just look so bizarre and incredible. Be careful on the walkways and keep ahold of your young children!

Well Worth the Trek!

Its a lot of stairs to the top, but an amazing view! Most hikes in the area are more heavily forested or are views from among the mountains - this was a truly unique view that was very memorable to me!

Sweet Park Along the Beach

I went to this park in early Spring when it was still cold out, but this park was great nonetheless! We climbed the stairs and explored the tunnel itself, and both were fun experiences! It wasn't a traditional summer beach day, but we enjoyed passing a soccer ball and frisbee on the beach as we watched the sun set over the water!

Awesome Beach!

I love to come to this beach in the summertime! It has a family-friendly and fun atmosphere. Its a great place to just lounge for the day, go for a swim (the water can be quite cold but refreshing!) and the pier is great for a quick walk. There are really nice public restrooms and a snack and gift shop. Even when it's not the summer season, it's a lovely beach to visit all year long.

Magnificent!

I've lived near Dayton my whole life and a few years ago saw this fountain come on while driving on the highway. When you see them up close, you get an idea of just how huge they are! They are especially beautiful during sunset. It also makes for a great evening walk. There is tons of room to spread out and you can see lots of geese and maybe even a Great Blue Heron if you look out into the water.

Huge Metropark

This park was huge for a "city park"! The paths were really well marked and the maps at the parking areas made it easy to follow. The path leading out and back to the various Waterfalls was family friendly and rewarding! The Martindale Falls were absolutely my favorite. You could climb right up to the water and even stand behind and underneath the falls! I'm excited to go back to this park and see more paths and try kayaking in the lake!

Best Disc Golf in the Area

This is the only disc golf park in the city and it's in beautiful Synder Park! The layout of this course is a bit odd - it has a lot of crossing back and forth over the creek and is not laid out well for doing just the 9-hole. Its a challenging and interesting course if you're looking for the next level of disc golf!

Lovely River Getaway!

I've lived by this river the majority of my life and just recently decided to go for it! The river itself was really pretty - the water was fairly clear, trees extended over the water, and we saw lots of turtles along the way! There were lots of other people out canoeing, kayaking and tubing, but it wasn't hard to sail ahead and get to quieter areas. Next time I go I'll plan to bring a picnic lunch - there were tons of good places to pull over for a meal!

Awesome Hiking Spot!

After 3 years of living in the area, this park was such a pleasant surprise to me! I absolutely love the trails through the woods - interesting scenery of both fields and forests, lots of Creek crossings, and plenty of elevation change! One end of the park had a really cool natural playground perfect for your young hikers!

Historic Park that Has it All!

I've visited this park countless times in my life! It had my favorite 5K course when I ran high school cross country and every Labor Day Weekend I attend the Fair at New Boston, which has tons of vendors and historic reenactments. There are big fields to play in, hiking trails through the woods, a big lake to boat and fish on, and a few great sledding hills in the wintertime! A park that has both beautiful spaces and historic significance.

Favorite in the Area!

My family has visited this trail so often! Includes a beautiful view down into the gorge and begins/ends in the tiny town of Clifton! One of my favorite memories of this trail was hiking it into Clifton and going to see the Historic Clifton Mill Lights at Christmastime! Saved us from parking in a super crowded area and let us go on a great evening hike!

Amazing Falls!

From seeing pictures, I expected these falls to be so much smaller, but they are massive! you follow the stream as you climb stairs to the top, and it's set up so that you are on a bridge looking straight up at the falls! I really enjoyed trying to capture the grandness of the waterfall with my camera. We also saw a couple getting their wedding photos done in front of the falls, which I'm sure were amazing! Be prepared for sore calves! It's also very cool knowing you are on the beginning connector trail to the Appalachian Trail start!

Part of a Complete Trip to Venice

It may be a little on the touristy side, but I really enjoyed getting to see Venice from the water and getting to sail through the back canals of the city was something that was super memorable from my trip! It was also interesting to talk to our gondolier and get the perspective on Venice from a local!

Lots of stairs but worth the trek!

The whole gorge park is absolutely stunning - there are so many lookouts from both sides to take in the beauty! The hike down to these falls were a long string of stairs downward and a wobbly walk across a suspension bridge, but it is well worth it! The falls are beautiful and it's really cool to be right by the water and look upwards at the gorge! You can get a special permit to actually walk down in the water, but I declined this time around. Be prepared for sore calves and bring lots of water!

A New Way to see the Windmill!

Holland and it's Windmill are most visited during the Tulip Festival in May, but you can see the Windmill all year round, and by kayak is a new way to see it! Easy waters for the average kayaker and a cool view of Windmill Island!
