These mountains offer a variety of terrains and sights. From Mexican poppies in the spring, wildflowers in the summer, many nice trails and some challenging peaks.

There are any many outdoor opportunities in the Franklin Mountains ranging fro Hiking, camping, Rock climbing, mountain biking ,  observing wildlife and wildflowers. There are also several festivals being held here throughout the year.

I spent a lot of my free time in the Franklins hiking and taking pictures.

The altitude and length of your walk depends on which area you choose to visit.

The Tom Mays area is a good place to start your visit , there are many trailheads here .  There is also a good campground here at Tom Mays.
